A little bit about my cancer journey.

In February 2022, subtle signs hinted at an underlying issue. Lethargy crept in, and I began noticing distinct changes in my face. Despite the mounting challenges in my daily routine and increasingly difficult workouts, I attributed it all to depression. Having lost my mother a year prior, I stubbornly pushed through my responsibilities as a realtor, believing I could overcome the grief.

By August, the first lump appeared, leading me to the emergency room by October. Unbearable pain, coupled with a rapid weight loss of 35 pounds in two months, prompted urgent medical attention. It wasn't until November, after exhaustive tests, that I received the diagnosis: stage 4 large B cell Lymphoma. December marked the start of chemotherapy, a challenging journey that spanned six months with one of the most intensive regimens, due to the aggressive nature of my cancer.

Finally, six months later, I achieved remission, a hard-fought victory. Looking ahead, the hope is to maintain this remission for the next two years, offering the best chance of a cancer-free future, provided other forms of cancer don't emerge. My gratitude extends to the New Mexico Cancer Center, where prompt and intensive treatment became a lifeline. The nurses, exceptionally kind and well-educated, stand out as the best I've encountered.

I'm happy to be able to restart my life and begin this new journey with you.
